Patricia Blondal fonds. 1948-1963.

The fonds consists of both personal and business correspondence from Harold Blondal, from Nathanial Jenkins (her father), as well as from magazines, publishers and the CBC. The manuscripts include an untitled, unpublished mystery novel and two versions of her novel "A Candle to Light the Sun" and manuscripts for broadcasts.

Patricia Blondal was born in Souris, Manitoba. She attended the University of Manitoba in the early 1940s and then became a broadcaster in Winnipeg upon her graduation. Blondal also travelled throughout Canada and spent a year in England. She married Harold Blondal in 1946 and spent the 1950s living with her husband and children in Montreal.
